INTRODUCTION
1. This Circular draws attention to the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications and Deemed Applications) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2007 ( SSI 2007/253) which amend and should be read in conjunction with the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications and Deemed Applications) (Scotland) Regulations 2004 ( SSI 2004/219). The Amendment Regulations come into force on 1 April 2007 and prescribe the fees for planning applications made on or after that date. Additional copies of the Circular are enclosed for your Directors of Planning and Finance.
2. The 2007 Regulations make no changes to the fees scheme other than to increase the rates of fees by approximately 10%. The attached Appendix gives the necessary detail and should replace Appendix B(2) attached to the Scottish Executive Development Department Circular 1/2004.
