PENALTIES

64. Regulation 17 sets out the penalties for offences made under the Regulations. These specifically provide that:

  • Failure to adhere to the conditions in a licence can be liable to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or both.
  • Obstruction of an inspector or a person who is assisting that inspector can be liable to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or both.
