6. ASSISTING WITH COMPLIANCE WITH THE ACTION PROGRAMME MEASURES
The effectiveness of the proposed Action Programme is reliant on the level of compliance achieved. The Executive acknowledges that to achieve compliance with the revised Action Programme will require changes to current farming practice. Through SAC, the Executive will continue to provide education, training and advice to support farmers in implementing the Action Programme measures.
The Guidelines for farmers in nitrate vulnerable zones will be updated and distributed to all farmers before the amendment regulations come into force. At the same time the equivalent information on the Executive's website will be updated.
