Listen

CONCLUSION

49. There was consensus of view amongst all the consultees regarding the policy commitment to the role of town centres. The acknowledgement that other shopping and leisure centres have a contribution to make was also welcomed. The differences of view arise, not with regard to the underlying policy framework, but in relation to specific details or requests for additional guidance to aid the interpretation of policy. Where appropriate the Executive will provide additional advice. It is the Executive's practice to keep all their policies under review and the effectiveness of SPP 8 will continue to be monitored.
