This one day conference is a vital event for key stakeholders from credit unions, banks, local authorities, RSLs, voluntary organisations and all those with an interest in Closing the Opportunity Gap for people at risk of social and financial exclusion. It aims to support and develop activities outlined in the Executive's Financial Inclusion Action Plan. (Published January 2005)
Delegates will have the opportunity to hear the views of key speakers, to debate, to question, discuss key themes and take part in break out sessions.
Keynote Speakers:
- Johann Lamont, Deputy Minister for Communities
The Forum aims to bring together people who are involved in delivering financial inclusion in Scotland. In future, it will encourage sharing of information and good practice in a range of ways, and foster 2-way communication with the Executive

- Rural Financial Inclusion
- Managing credit on a low income
- The role of housing associations in tackling financial exclusion
