Responsiveness, Quality, Relevance and Coherence: Report of the Third Meeting of the Lifelong Learning Forum

Listen

INTRODUCTION

Life Through Learning; Learning Through Life, the Lifelong Learning Strategy for Scotland, was the theme of this year's Forum. At this, the midway stage in the life of the Strategy, the Executive is planning wider consultation to explore its current and continuing relevance to lifelong learning in Scotland.

To engage with Forum members at this early stage of the consultation, the participants were allocated to groups and assigned a theme to discuss, and come to a group view on, prior to the event. Each group then presented their findings at the Forum, allowing everyone the opportunity to take part and discuss the findings.

The purpose of this report is to capture as much of the views, ideas generated and challenges raised as possible, and to help guide the future consultation planned by the Executive in 2006.

Finally, the results of the evaluation undertaken shortly after the event, are included. If you wish any further information about any of the issues contained in the report, you can contact Julie Martin by email at Julie.Martin@scotland.gsi.gov.uk
