1. Introduction
1.1 This bulletin presents key statistics on clients assisted through Supporting People funding during the period 2004-05. Summary information has been provided at both national and local authority level. This is the second year for which data have been collected and it is intended to review the content for future bulletins.
1.2 Please exercise caution when comparing 2003-04 data with 2004-05 data as some element of change may be due to improved collection methods. However, there will be some degree of client change, as new services funded from ' SP Pipeline funding' came on stream in 2004-05 and some services started in 2003-04 have reached full capacity in 2004-05.

Note: Glasgow data are estimates based on a return of 77% boosted up to 100%. Glasgow data are snapshot as at 31 March 2005 and cannot be directly compared to 2003-04 data which is annual. 2004-05 data for Fife cannot be directly compared with 2003-04 data which was based on number of places and therefore an undercount. Renfrewshire data are snapshot as at 31 March 2004 and 31 March 2005.
