LIST OF RESPONDENTS
The Best Value in Public Services Consultation was not paper based but focused around a series of five stakeholder engagement seminars held in August and September 2005. Attendance at the stakeholder engagement seminars was restricted to central government public service organisations, and their sponsoring Scottish Executive departments given the specialised remit of this consultation. Wider stakeholders from local government, the trade unions, the Scottish Consumer Council, Audit Scotland and the voluntary sector and academia were kept informed of the process in bilateral discussions. Wider comment from other interested parties on how to refresh Best Value for central government public service organised was welcomed.
