Appendix 1 Stock Take Questionnaire
Local Authority Policy and Practice in relation to LGBT people Stock Take Questionnaire
ODS (Organisational Development and Support) have been commissioned by the Scottish Executive to undertake a stock take of local authority policy and practice in relation to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender ( LGBT) people. An advisory group for the work includes representatives of COSLA, Edinburgh Council and a number of LGBT organisations.
The research will provide local and national policy makers with baseline evidence of activity at local authority level. Practical guidance will be produced to assist the development and monitoring of future policy and practice.
Your individual responses will not be divulged to any other party and will be treated confidentially by ODS. It is possible that case studies may be developed. These will not give details of the specific authority involved, unless there is prior agreement to this.
The purpose of this survey is to gather baseline information rather than to evaluate or assess the performance of local authorities. If there are some sections that you can not complete, please leave these blank and complete the sections that you can. A response which is not complete is much more helpful than no response at all.
Please complete and return the questionnaire and return it to ODS (by email or in the Freepost envelope provided) by no later than Thursday 3 March 2005.
A more detailed follow up of 8 local authorities will be undertaken as part of the research and we hope that you will be willing to take part in this.
