Note : The Literature review highlighted a link with smoking. Other factors identified include: links with specific occupations, atmospheric pollution, housing conditions, and social class.

This disease group covers a wide range of conditions including, for example, dental caries, dyspepsia, inguinal hernia and alcoholic liver disease. On the basis of the literature review the following indicators were suggested:
