RESPONSES TO CONSULTATION ON THE SCOTTISH SCHOOLS (PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT) BILL
The Scottish Executive would like to thank all those who responded to the consultation on the draft Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Bill. The consultation was launched on 1 March 2005 and ran until 7 June 2005. 1023 responses were received before the deadline. Responses have been classified as being from individuals and organisations. The category "organisations" includes school boards, parent teacher associations (PTAs), schools and others such as local authorities. Contact details for individual schools are available on the Scottish Schools Online website ( www.scottishschoolsonline.gov.uk). 2 petitions were also received.
Responses available here are those which are NON-CONFIDENTIAL. 793 responses fall into this category.
CONFIDENTIAL responses have been retained by the Department and are not available for publication. 230 responses fall into this category. Confidential responses include those where respondents
- have asked for their responses not to be published
- have not completed the form giving permission for them to be published
- have not provided a postal address.
All responses, including confidential ones, will be considered in the final analysis of the consultation.
