SCOTTISH SOCIAL SERVICES WORKFORCE CORE MINIMUM DATA SET CONSULTATION and HALF DAY WORKSHOPS

I am pleased to invite you to one of two half day workshops, run by the Social Work Services Policy Division of the Scottish Executive.

These workshops will introduce the Scottish Social Services Workforce Core Minimum Data Set Consultation Paper which is being released this week throughout Scotland for comment and feedback, the deadline for which is Friday 2 ^nd September 2005. If the paper does not accompany this letter, you will receive it imminently either by post or by e-mail. If you don't receive it, please contact Phil McNicol, Data Standards & eCare Division, Scottish Executive; tel: 0131 244 4732; e-mail: phil.mcnicol@scotland.gsi.gov.uk who will send you a copy in your preferred format.

The workshops will explain the content and purpose of the Core Minimum Data Set. They will also provide an opportunity for participants to discuss and comment on the Consultation Paper in detail. Attendees should bring data on two anonymous members of staff, or data on a fictional employee to use during the workshop exercises.

In addition to yourself, the seminars will be of value to those with a responsibility for training, human resource management and organisational development issues.

GLASGOW
on Thursday 23 June 2005
at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Argyle Street
from 10.00-14.00

EDINBURGH
on Friday 24 June 2005
at the Radisson SAS Hotel, 80 High Street
from 10.00 - 14.00

I do hope you will be able to attend one of the above dates. If you think any of your colleagues may also be interested in the seminar, please forward this information and the consultation paper on to them.
