REVIEW OF RACE EQUALITY WORK: ANALYSIS OF RESPONSES FROM ORGANISATIONS
In March 2004, Minster for Communities, Margaret Curran, announced a full strategic review of race equality work. As part of this review, in June 2004, the Minister for Communities issued a letter to a range of organisations, with a series of questions regarding the focus, priorities and delivery of race equality work.
The Scottish Executive now wishes to commission a small piece of work to collate and analyse all responses to this letter and to record, summarise and order these responses in an electronic format. The research will be undertaken between August and October 2004, and the successful contractor must be able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines. They must also have knowledge and/ or experience in researching race equality issues.
Interested contractors should complete the Expressions of Interest Form and return it to Paul Cooper ( Paul.Cooper@scotland.gsi.gov.uk) by noon on 4 August 2004.
A shortlist of contractors expressing interest will be selected on the basis of relevant expertise and experience to receive a copy of the research specification and a formal Invitation to Tender. These will be issued in early August 2004. The submission of an Expression of Interest should not be taken as a guarantee of receiving an Invitation to Tender.
