IMPROVING THE HEALTH OF THE SCOTTISH MINORITY ETHNIC COMMUNITIES
APPENDIX A Terms of Reference of the Steering Group for the National Resource Centre for Ethnic Minority Health
The Steering Group will:
1. Support and assist the National Resource Centre for Ethnic Minority Health in its direction and priority setting. The Steering Group will meet six times a year.
2. Maintain an overview over the agreed work programme and the resources necessary for its implementation and outcomes.
3. Facilitate the relationship between NRCEMH and individual NHS organisations throughout Scotland in working to meet the objectives set by the HDL and will advise on the process of community consultation.
4. Review the overall progress of the NHS organisations in Scotland in meeting the objectives set by the HDL and the requirements of the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000.
1. Provide an annual report to the Director of NHS Health Scotland on the progress made by NHS organisations which will help to inform the performance process as appropriate.
