ANNEX 8 NON-TIMETABLED REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIAL EVENTS

CalMac currently provide additional non-scheduled sailings for a range of events including:

• the Cowal Games
• the Mull Rally
• the Islay Show
• Isle of Bute Jazz Festival
• Rothesay Regatta
• Isle of Bute Folk Festival
• Isle of Jura Fell Race
• Bute Highland Games
• Royal International Mod week, if relevant
• peak holiday demand (e.g. Christmas, Easter, Bank holidays, Summer holidays)
• livestock sailings from Oban (average of four return journeys p.a.)
• livestock sailings from Islay (average of one return journey p.a.)
• sailings for the MOD vehicles that cannot normally be accommodated (average of four return journeys p.a.)
• extra services for the emergency services when necessary (outside current agreement with ambulance service on Iona and Raasay)
