This package of information in support of the 2002 Accountability Reviews of NHS Boards is issued by Information & Statistics Division on behalf of the Scottish Executive Health Department. It contains: indicators based on the most up-to-date, complete, national data; links (URLs) to published quality assessments; definitions of indicators; methodology outline.

Notes:

  • Navigate to indicator of interest by selecting: firstly 'field' e.g. Health Improvement & Reducing Inequalities; and then specific indicator within field.

  • Select information required under indicators. Either:

    • Workbook of data and charts (Data)

    • Definitions document (Definition)

    • Scoring Methodology document (Scoring)

  • Please note that for indicators 1.07 (Adults Smoking); 1.08 (Alcohol) and 1.11 (Exercise) there is only one year of data from the Scottish Health Survey. No charts have been prepared therefore.

  • Data quality and completeness is an issue for any indicator and ISD Online has some information on this issue
