Quality Meat Scotland

25/02/2010

Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs Richard Lochhead today announced that Donald (Danny) Miller has resigned from the Board of Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) for personal reasons.

Mr Lochhead said:

"In addition to working hard to promote the interests of the red meat supply chain in Scotland, QMS provides the Scottish Government with valuable advice on a wide range of issues impacting on the red meat sector. I know Danny's input has been extremely valuable in the Board's deliberations on these matters.

"I am grateful to Danny for the contribution he has made to the work of QMS over the last two years and I wish him all the very best for the future."

Mr Miller was appointed to the QMS Board in February 2008.
