Commenting on the Scottish Emissions of Air Pollutants 2007 results, Environment Minister Roseanna Cunningham said:

"The positive trend recorded in recent years of reducing the air pollutants of most concern to the environment has continued. This is great news for Scotland and further evidence of the significant progress we have made in driving down emissions.

"However we cannot afford to be complacent. There are still many air pollution issues to be addressed. Work must continue to ensure these positive results are on-going and that data is of the best possible quality. By continuing in this way we hope to ensure a cleaner, greener Scotland for us all."
