Scotland Week 2009 kicks off in New York this Saturday (April 4) with events taking place in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Houston, Wilmington and Raleigh (in North Carolina), Chicago, Toronto and Vancouver.
The Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will lead the Scottish Government delegation, with Minister for Culture, External Affairs and the Constitution Michael Russell and Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism Jim Mather taking forward their own targeted programmes.

Minister for Culture, External Affairs and the Constitution Michael Russell will represent the Scottish Government at the Tartan Day Parade on the streets of New York this Saturday (April 4, 2009). Pictures of Mr Russell from the Tartan Day Parade in New York will be available on Saturday. Due to tight deadlines with time difference we will have images available in two batches on Saturday - pictures with everyone gathering before the parade and then shots from the parade.
Mr Russell will also be updating his Scotland Week 2009 blog daily.
