Support for farmers

The Scottish Government Rural Payments and Inspections Directorate today gave notice of the impending deadline of Friday November 16 for the submission of applications under the Less Favoured Areas Support Scheme (LFASS) 2007.
Potential applicants who wish to claim are therefore urged to ensure that a signed application form is back with their local area office in good time.
Whilst applications will continue to be accepted up until Tuesday December 11, any received in the period between Monday November 19 and Tuesday December 11 will be subject to late claim penalties.
Any claim received beyond December 11 will be rejected.
While this reminder applies to all eligible farmers, attention is particularly drawn to those who have not applied for support before, and who think may be eligible, to apply now.
