MB Aerospace of Motherwell has secured two deals from Rolls-Royce worth £40 million, it was announced today at the Paris air show.
Also, Goodrich Aerostructures European Service Centre, headquartered in Prestwick, has been selected by the TUI Group, one of Europe's leading leisure airline operators, to support the fleet's nacelle systems (aircraft engine casing).
Enterprise Minister Jim Mather was in Paris to promote Scotland's aerospace industry and encourage close working with public sector agencies to further develop and grow the industry in Scotland.
Mr Mather said:
"This is a tremendous result for everyone who works so hard to promote Scotland internationally. Attracting foreign investment is a tough business but we are here to establish ourselves among the leaders in aerospace innovation and secure our place in future aerospace markets.
"The business that has been done here today will give Scotland a competitive edge and will help to grow our economy."
