Black Watch at Holyrood

The National Theatre of Scotland's award-winning Black Watch is to form part of the opening celebrations of the Scottish Parliament on June 30.
First Minister Alex Salmond today announced that there will be a series of performances of the successful stage production for the general public, veterans groups, parliamentarians and other invited guests.
Earlier in the week, it was also announced that the theatre company is set to take its play about the legendary Scottish regiment abroad when it tours to the USA for the first time.
As part of the celebration there will be one free public performance of Black Watch on Friday June 29 in Edinburgh. Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The performances have been organised with the support of the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, the National Theatre of Scotland and Clydesdale Bank.
All performance dates:
June 29 (2pm) - A free dress rehearsal performance for an invited audience of veterans groups, charities and youth groups who have already been selected.

June 30 ( 7.30pm) - A celebratory performance for invited guests hosted by the First Minister and the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament. Guests will include parliamentarians participating in the official opening of the Scottish Parliament earlier that day and guests of the First Minister and the Presiding Officer.
