First meeting of Cabinet

The first official meeting of the Scottish Cabinet took place this afternoon after five new Cabinet Secretaries were sworn in at the Court of Session in Edinburgh.
They then joined First Minister Alex Salmond at Bute House.
Mr Salmond's Cabinet has five secretaries, each presiding over their own area of responsibility and Ministers.
- Nicola Sturgeon is Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing
- John Swinney is Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth
- Fiona Hyslop is Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning
- Kenny MacAskill is Cabinet Secretary for Justice
- Richard Lochhead is Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Environment
