East Lothian procurator fiscal service

The relocated Procurator Fiscal's office on Court Street in Haddington, East Lothian was officially re-opened today having had £75,000 in improvements to facilities for both visitors and staff.

Lord Advocate Colin Boyd QC said:

"Over the last six years we have invested in reforming our facilities to ensure we have an improved environment for vulnerable witnesses and victims, as well as for our staff. This investment in Haddington shows our commitment to delivering a high quality service to local communities."

District Procurator Fiscal Lesley Thomson said:

"We are delighted to welcome the Lord Advocate to the new Haddington office today. It is important that we continue to look for ways to improve our working methods, and the new open-plan office environment allows us to maximise the full potential of team working."
