Mountain Bike World Cup

The Mountain Bike World Cup has just been held in the Highlands.
Over 430 world class Elite competitors from more that 35 nations took part in the event.
Sports Minister Frank McAveety said: "This weekend has helped showcase Scotland as a great location for major Sporting Events, and as a place to visit.
"The event will have had a positive impact on the local economy both in the short and long term - as I am sure that many of the 20,000 visitors will choose to come back for a holiday."
The event attracted major public funding including £40,000 from both EventScotland and SportScotland.
