Director-General Finance
Alyson Stafford CBE was appointed Director-General Finance in October 2010.
Alyson joined the Scottish Government as Director of Finance in June 2005.
She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 and her services to the public sector were recognised in 2002 when she received honorary membership of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants (nominated by CIPFA Scotland).
With a proven track record in the public sector, Alyson's career has been at the forefront of change leading strategic, operational and corporate services in the Health Service in England and Scotland as a Chief Executive as well as Director of Finance.
