COMMISSION ON THE FUTURE DELIVERY OF PUBLIC SERVICES:
Thank you for your interest in the work of our Commission.
The Scottish Government has given us a challenging and very important task - to develop recommendations for the future delivery of public services in Scotland.
I am confident that by next June we can deliver robust and far-reaching recommendations, which will help set a firm course for the reform of how we deliver Scotland's public services.
To achieve this, we need to base our recommendations on a comprehensive body of information and evidence about the current operation of Scotland's public services, and possible options for the future. To this end we have issued the Call for Evidence, which this message accompanies.
Members of the Commission and I will be very grateful if you could consider our remit, and the specific questions highlighted in the Call for Evidence, and share with us your knowledge and your views. We would be particularly interested in receiving evidence about new approaches that have been successful in producing better outcomes, any obstacles that impede progress and your suggestions for improvement.
The Commission will be seeking to explore further the issues raised in the submissions received, as we move to develop proposals and recommendations. I hope you will also be able to continue to engage with that ongoing process.
With our thanks,
CAMPBELL CHRISTIE CBE
Chair
