This web section lists each of the Legislative Consent Motions (formerly known as 'Sewel Motions') that have been put to the Scottish Parliament during the first session (1999-2003), second session (2003-2007) and third session to date (2007-present ). It also provides associated information about each Legislative Consent Motion. Often this includes an explanatory Legislative Consent Memorandum (formerly called a 'Sewel Memorandum') and a link to Scottish Parliamentary debates. This is not always the case, however, as the way in which the Scottish Parliament has dealt with these motions has changed over time. The web section also contains background information on the Sewel Convention.
