The number of journeys made by Scottish Government staff using contract taxis for 2006/07 was 36,461 at a cost of £335,847.93. For 2007/08 this was 35,023 journeys at a cost of £323,322.75. The number of journeys taken for the distance of one mile or less was 4,691 for 2006/07 and 4,631 for 2007/08.
