Details of contracts entered into by the Executive and its agencies with PR and communications companies since 1999

Scottish Executive

The Scottish Executive put in place a contract for Public Relations (PR) on the 1 August 2004. Prior to this, all PR work was sub contracted by the creative advertising agencies on the Scottish Executive contract. The following four companies are on the Scottish Executive PR contract: Barkers; The Big Partnership; Citigate SMARTS and Consolidated Communications.

Executive Agencies

The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) entered into a contract with Porter Novelli in December 2003 to provide communications support to the OSCR Press Office.

Scottish Prison Service (SPS) entered into contracts with Barkers on June 2003 until June 2006, to assist them with its recruitment and media advertising.

SPS has also entered into two contracts with Catchline Communications for help with its design services (November 2000 - November 2005) and in for help with various SPS publications (March 2003 - March 2006).
