Freedom Of Information (Scotland) Act Section 31 Certificate
The Scottish Executive has drawn up a guidance note for Scottish public authorities which may be required to deal with requests for information where Security and Intelligence Agency information and/or information related to national security issues are involved.
In April 2005, the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act Section 31 Certificate for specific categories of information related to the G8 Summit, was issued.
On 6 April 2010, following consultation with interested parties including the Scottish Information Commissioner, a Declaration of Withdrawal of Certificate by The Scottish Ministers was issued.
